Biography of the artist Noureddine Chegrane painter:
Noredine CHEGRANE was born in Rabat in 1942, which he left to return to Algeria. In 1966, he was admitted to the School of Architecture and Fine Arts of Algiers in the studio of the great M’Hamed Issiakhem.
His exhibitions are very rich, ranging from Algeria to Warsaw, Moscow, Rome, Brussels, Paris, Marseille, Nîmes, Belgrade, East Berlin, Havana, Manila, Tokyo, Rabat, Tunis, Tripoli, Cairo, Kuwait, etc.

He constantly and constantly explores, but in a renewed way, the reappropriation of national heritage.
He fully adhered to the Aouchem movement from its creation and expresses with his brushes his deep attachment to the sign and symbolism of Berber culture, which constitutes the essence of his artistic creation.
Almost all of his works reflect this principle and this state of mind.
In his youth in Rabat and Algiers he was a member of a jazz group known as “the Titans”; he played the harmonica and sometimes percussion.
